ANDREWS-Early voting kicked off today in Andrews for the Nov. 5th election.
Voters there are making a big decision on whether to allow the sale of beer and wine in stores and mixed drinks in restaurants.
If voted in, the change would mean that Andrews could see restaurant bars, but not hard liquor stores.
Stripes and EZ-Mart were the biggest donors to the political action committee in support of legalizing alcohol. They brought in Texas Petition Strategies earlier this year to run the petition that got the question of alcohol on the ballot.
You can vote early at the tax office on Main street from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except today and Thursday, when voting hours are extended from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., according to the Andrews County News.
