Woman Pleads Guilty in 2011 Child Murder Case 10/16/13
Ector County District Attorney's Office
ODESSA: Ector County District Attorney, Bobby Bland, issues the following statement:
Today, Kimberly Ann Moore pled guilty to the 2011 murder of Zachery Dominguez and the injury to a child of another child and received a sentence of life in prison plus 15 years to run consecutively (stacked).
Kimberly Moore will not be eligible for parole until she has served a minimum sentence of 37.5 years.
Evangelina Quezada, a co-defendant and the mother of Ralph Martinez, pled guilty to failure to report a felony and received a 6 month sentence regarding the same incident.
Ms. Quezada was not actively involved in injuring the children, but did fail to report injuries when she was aware of them. Quezada was given a more lenient sentence in connection with her sonís plea to capital murder and life without parole on August 14, 2013.
These pleas were made with the consent of the surviving family members and insured that two of the surviving children would not have to testify against their own mother.
