Flash Flooding Possible Again Today 10/14/13
Monday Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Expect another round of rainfall across much of West Texas later today and tonight. Most of yesterday’s activity has moved off to the east and weakened. However, moisture and upper level disturbances associated with Tropical Storm Octave in the Pacific will continue to move over the area. At the same time, a cold front will approach from the north. All of this will set the stage for more rain… Some of it will be heavy. As such, a flash flood watch will remain in effect until 7pm this evening.
Look for highs in the 80’s today but much cooler conditions for the middle of the week.
A cold front will move into the region tonight. This will bring a round of north winds, more rain and much cooler temperatures. Highs will be in the 60’s on Tuesday and only the 50’s on Wednesday. A few locations will see lows bottom out in the lower 40’s on Wednesday night.
Another chance of rain will return to the area on Friday and Saturday.
