Excitement Over Tomorrows CAF Airsho Spreads Through West Texas 10/11/13

This weekend is West Texas's Commemorative Air Force Airsho. This year celebrates the 50th anniversary of the CAF.
There will be war reenactments of World War II and the Korean War. This years theme is "War Birds Invade West Texas."
In addition to the reenactments, there will be a race between the smallest jet in the world and the fastest Jet Truck in the world. The FLS Microjet has a wingspan of 17 ft, a length of 13 ft, and a height of 5 ft and 9 in. The Microjet pilot, Major Justin Lewis, says his jet can get up to 320 mph. The Shockwave Jet Truck currently holds the Guinness Book of World Records with 300 mph, according to driver Chris Darnell.
Museum Director, Autumn Vest says that this year they'll even have fireworks and a local singer on Saturday night. Those are just some if the great attractions coming this weekend.
Gates open tomorrow morning at 8:30. You can buy tickets at the gate for $25 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12, and children 5 and under get in free. You can still buy discount tickets at Western National Bank, Dominoes Pizza and 7/11.
