Breezy Conditions Expected This Week 10/8/13
Tuesday Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Wind will be the primary element of discussion in this week’s weather forecast. This will start today and get stronger as the week moves along. Expect winds out of the south at 15-20mph today. Highs will be in the mid 80’s under mostly sunny skies. A few thin, high clouds will drift across the area today.
As a strong upper level storm sets up over the western United States, strong return flow will transport moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. Expect dew point temperatures to continue rising through the week as strong southerly surface winds continue across the region.
By Friday, a chance of thunderstorms appears possible as the dryline sharpens up across the region. Expect a slight chance of storms to continue into Saturday. However, the wind will be anything but isolated and will continue into early next week.
