Man Burned in Fire at Salt Water Disposal Site 10/7/13
CRANE, Texas - A man has been hospitalized with burns following an explosion at a salt water disposal site in West Texas.
Crane Assistant Fire Chief Berry Ingram tells the Odessa American the explosion that happened early Monday morning involved two 500-barrel tanks.
Ingram says that the majority of the fire was out by the time they got to the site located just south of the Ector and Crane county line. He says fire crews were on the scene for about an hour before the fire was completely extinguished.
The man sustained burns on his face and hands.
The cause of the explosion is being investigated.
