Midland - The U. S. Honor Flag will arrive at Midland International Airport via an American flight today, Sunday, at 10:30 p.m.
It will be received ceremoniously from the flight crew by the MPD Honor Guard and will be delivered to Rankin for Upton County Deputy Billy Kennedy's funeral services on Tuesday.
The flag is currently in Washington, D.C. It was last in Midland last November after the train crash tragedy to honor the lives lost.
The U. S. Honor Flag travels around the country and is present at funerals of first responders killed in the line of duty and also at military heroes' funerals.
