Sunny And Warm Conditions Return 9/30/13
Monday Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Expect sunny skies and warmer temperatures for much of the week. Highs will reach into the lower to mid 90’s through at least Thursday. Friday will be a game changer but questions regarding the timing of a cold front still remain.
Highs today will top out in the lower to mid 90’s across much of Southwest Texas. The mountains will likely see highs in the 80’s. Skies will be clear and winds will be out of the southwest at 5-15mph.
Highs will be in the 90’s through Thursday. Thursday, being the hottest day of the week.
A cold front will arrive on Friday. However, timing the front presents some rather large challenges. The forecast for now will reflect highs in the 80’s and 90’s depending on the time the front arrives. Winds will likely shift to the north and increase by late Friday. Cooler air will move into the region over the weekend. Look for highs in the 60’s and 70’s on Saturday and Sunday. Overnight lows will drop into the 40’s this weekend for most, if not all locations.
