Odessa - An Odessa man is behind bars tonight after an investigation found that he was impersonating a public servant. Officials say 63-year-old Robert Barr has been pretending to be a police officer.
Barr was arrested early Friday afternoon and is being held without bond, his charge is a felony. Officers say they have been investigating this case for a while now. After obtaining a search warrant for both Barr’s business and residence, officers found the evidence they needed to do the arrest.
Neighbors CBS 7 spoke with say they have made numerous complaints to the police. One neighbor said he would flash a badge saying he was on duty and that he was the law. Neighbors also say Barr has been caught looking into their windows and firing a shotgun numerous times in the neighborhood.
