Quarterback and Running Back News 9/20/13
BEREA, Ohio - Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden will probably not need surgery on his sprained right thumb and could return sooner than expected. Weeden was injured in Sunday's loss at Baltimore. On Thursday, he visited a hand specialist, who confirmed the diagnosis of a sprain and did not find any further damage.
The Browns have also announced that newly signed running back Willis McGahee (muh-GAY'-hee) will play Sunday when they meet the Vikings.
The 31-year old is a nine-year veteran who has rushed for over 8,000 career yards, including four 1,000-yard seasons. He has played for Buffalo, Baltimore and the Broncos.
