Rain has begun to fall across West Texas this morning. The strongest thunderstorms and largest area of rain has been over the southern and eastern portion of the area. As moisture continues to spread into the area and disturbances rotate out of Hurricane Manuel in Baja, Mexico toward West Texas. Rain chances will continue to increase across the area. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect through Friday as heavy rain is expected. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to around 80 today and tomorrow.
Slightly warmer temperatures and drier conditions are expected this weekend.
