Monday Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
High Pressure will continue to drift over the Central Plains of the United States over the next couple of days. Disturbances that are drifting around the periphery of the High will impact our area today, tomorrow and Wednesday, producing at least a 20% chance of rainfall. Today will be in the upper 80’s, with increasing clouds through the afternoon. Rain chances will be best in the afternoon hours. Winds will be out of the southeast at 10-20mph.
Mostly cloudy skies will be in place through the middle of the week. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80’s on Tuesday and Wednesday. As mentioned above, rain chances will linger through the middle of the week.
Quiet weather looks to return to the area beginning Thursday. Each afternoon through the weekend will inch back into the 90’s. Rain chances will decrease and skies will be partly cloudy. With clearing skies in the overnight hours, temperatures will fall back into the 60’s.
