Crowded lunch-rooms have some parents worried that students don't have enough time to eat.
In fact, a Bonham Junior High parent complained that her child only had 25 minutes for lunch.
However the Bonham principal says that is not the problem.
Bonham Junior High is now the largest junior high in Ector County ISD. Officials with the district say that means 500 new 7th graders who have no idea what's going on.
ECISD officials describe the first few weeks of school as hectic, especially at lunch.
"The first 2 weeks of school are very difficult. We have students that don't know what's going on or what lunch line to get into,” David Steele, Bonham Junior High principal said.
To make sure every student has time to eat lunch, ECISD officials have added extra time to lunch for these first two weeks.
We also spoke with Midland ISD officials who say they've added extra time to their lunches these first two weeks to make sure there is enough time for the students to figure out where to go.
