False Reports Land Would-Be Victim Behind Bars 9/4/13

ODESSA-On Wednesday, Jessica Miller reported to officers that she had been robbed at gunpoint at the Target in Odessa.
On Thursday, Miller reported that she was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of 4210 North JBS Parkway. Miller reported hundreds of dollars worth of jewelry was stolen from her at gunpoint.
After an investigation, Odessa Police charged Miller with two counts of False Report to a Peace Officer and arrested Miller this morning.

TYPE OF INCIDENT: False Report to a Peace Officer
DATE/TIME REPORTED: September 4, 2013 / 0842 hours
LOCATION: Odessa Police Department
On 8-28-13 at approximately 1154 hours, Officers responded to 2020 East 42nd St (Maurices) in reference to an Armed Robbery (Case #13-18952). Jessica Miller reported to Officers that she had been robbed at gunpoint. Miller reported that three suspects worked together and stole hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from the listed store.
On 8-29-13 at approximately 1018 hours, Officers responded to 4210 North JBS Parkway in reference to an Armed Robbery (Case #13-19017). Jessica Miller reported to Officers that she had been robbed at gunpoint while she was in the parking lot. Miller reported that a Hispanic male pointed a handgun at her and stole hundreds of dollars worth of jewelry from her.
The Crimes Against Persons Unit conducted a thorough investigation resulting in charges of two counts of False Report to a Peace Officer, a Class B Misdemeanor. Investigators sought and obtained an arrest warrant for Jessica Beth Miller, date of birth 06-25-1984, charging her with two counts of False Report to a Peace Officer. Miller was arrested this morning and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
