Pecos – The Reeves County Jail will be getting some upgrades.
Reeves County Commissioners approved the measure in their most recent meeting.
Officials say the 38-year-old facility will need over $3 million in repairs.
An electrical fire at the jail last month forced inmates to be moved to other facilities. After the fire, other problems were discovered that require repairs to meet future jail inspections.
Since the building was complete in 1975, no major repairs have been made since then.
Commissioners have approved the $3.3 million repairs.
