UPDATE: An Andrews man is still in critical condition after a brutal attack by four men last Friday.
After the brutal beating, he was then air-flighted all the way to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa where he is still recovering in the Intensive Care Unit.
The confrontation may have started when one of the men was chastised for driving recklessly near City Lake Park. The actual assault happened on the 1500 block of Northwest Avenue E.
According to Andrews Chief of Police Bud Jones, these four men: Anthony Bolton, Robert Norris, Roman Cope, and Jonathan Lee Salicido brutally beat 41-year-old George Lopez, not only with fists and feet, but also with a rock.
Lopez was taken to Permian Regional Medical Center, and then air-flighted to MCH.
All four men were arrested on Saturday. Charges include aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and engaging in organized criminal activity, both 1st degree felonies, and they could be charged with attempted murder.
Jones says it is unlikely the suspects knew Lopez.
The investigation is on-going and Andrews Police Department may take more suspects into custody.
