Martin County Labor Day Run/Walk Raises Money for Volunteer EMS 9/2/13

The race started this morning at 9:00 AM. People in the Martin County community lined up to run or walk the four mile race in order to raise money for volunteer EMS in their town.
About 57 people came this year.
Bob Teveni with the Martin County EMS says this year they hope to raise about $2,000.
He says that two years ago, almost 100 people had registered and they raised about $4,000 for the EMS department.
The race has been going on for six years and usually lasts about an hour. Each year the run raises anywhere from $1,000 to $3,000.
