Iso. Storms Today 9/2/13
Monday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
A few thunderstorms are expected to develop across West Texas today. As of this morning, a few areas of rainfall were being observed on area radars. However, these storms are mainly confined to the Concho Valley and the extreme eastern Permian Basin.
A weak cold front has moved into the area this morning. While this has brought a northerly wind to many locations this morning, very little cooling is expected. Highs today will still climb into the mid 90’s. Thunderstorms will be most likely over the southern half of the area this afternoon.
Dry and hot conditions are expected Tuesday through the weekend. The hottest day appears to be Tuesday. Highs will top out in the upper 90’s to near 100 for most.
Wednesday through Friday will be characterized by sunny skies and highs in the mid 90’s. Overnight lows through the week will be in the lower 70’s.
