Odessa Police on the Look Out for Burglary Suspect 8/30/13

Odessa – Odessa Police are on the search for a burglary suspect.
Investigators have obtained an arrest warrant for Johnny Blazer Phelps. He’s wanted on a Burglary of a Habitation “2nd Degree Felony” charge.
Phelps is wanted in connection to a burglary that happened last week in the 4500 block of Fountain Court.
OPD says the suspect stole $28,000 worth of electronics and jewelry.
The owner of the home came home to find the suspect still in the house. OPD says the suspect fled the scene in a SUV.
Phelps originally refused to come out. After a brief standoff, Phelps surrendered. He claimed he had a possible back injury so he was transported to Medical Center Hospital. He has since been released.
