CASA in Need of Howard County Volunteers 8/29/13

Big Spring – CASA of West Texas is in major need of new volunteers, especially in Big Spring.
According to leaders of the organization, they would ideally like to have 20. As of now, they have 2.
The Howard County area served 130 children in the court system in 2012.
CASA will be having volunteer training starting Sept. 16th. There is an application and screening process.
CASA stands for court appointed special advocate for children. The duties of a volunteer include meeting with a child periodically and speak on their behalf in court.
