Odessa Man Pleads Guilty to Manslaughter for 2010 Fatal Crash 8/26/13

Ector County District Attorney, Bobby Bland, issues the following statement:
Today, Frederick Gonzalez pled guilty to manslaughter and aggravated assault. These charges are the result of the December 11, 2010 incident where Gonzalez drove his motor vehicle into the house of Melba and James Paysinger on Boulder Street in Odessa. James Paysinger was killed while Melba Paysinger, his wife, was severely injured. He received 10 years probation, $20,000.00 in restitution and 120 days in jail as a condition of probation. This sentence was made at the request of the surviving victim and her family who were present at the hearing.
