Midland Independent School District Dropout Rates Declining 8/22/13
Midland ISD dropout rates are declining every year. From 2007 to 20012, there was a 7% drop in how many students have dropped out. In 2012, the number of dropouts was 9.9%.
In congruity with dropouts, graduation numbers have also increased. From 2007 to 2012 the percent has increased almost 10%. In 2012, 83.9% of the students graduated.
Deborah A. Acosta, MISD Dropout Prevention/Recovery & At-Risk Coordinator said in a press release, "We are proud that we have reached our own district goal of being below 10 percent in longitudinal dropouts."
