Big Spring – The city of Big Spring will be making some upgrades to the water treatment plant this week, however the upgrades will affect your water use.
City officials say in order for these upgrades to happen, the city will have a 36-hour shut down on water treatment services.
To ensure there is enough water for basic living necessities, all non-essential water uses will be banned starting Wed. Aug. 21st at 9p.m. and end Fri. Aug. 23rd at 9a.m.
Outside watering, washing vehicles, filling of swimming pools, flushing water lines, wetting ground for construction, or any non-essential uses of water will be strictly prohibited, according to city officials.
City officials also say you may have low water pressure or additional air in your water line during this time.
