Andrews – Andrews City Council members will vote to place alcohol measures on the ballot for November this week.
One petition seeks to legalize packaged beer and wine sales in stores. The other is to allow mixed drinks to be served inside restaurants.
The Andrews Expansion Council, a PAC created in support of the wet movement, hired a consulting firm which conducted the petition drives. That effort was paid for with a $24,000 contribution from Stripe's and a $10,000 contribution from EZ Mart.
The city council meeting is set for this Thursday, Aug. 22nd at 5:30 p.m.
