Water Rates Set To Rise In The City Of Kermit 8/16/13
CBS 7 News
KERMIT-Kermit residents will soon be paying more for the water coming out of their faucets.
Kermit City Manager Pete Kampfer tells CBS 7 that rates will rise 10% as a part of the new Re-Klaim Kermit campaign.
Kampfer confirms that the funds raised will go toward a number of projects the city is working on including expanding the cemetery.
Residents can expect the average bill to rise around $10 dollars.
According to Kampfer, even after the increase, Kermit will still have the lowest water rates in West Texas.
