"You feel like you're in the studio with him, like you're right there with him. I actually can't start my morning without him,” said Odessan Ivan Salinas.
“Kidd Kraddick” has been a staple of the morning commute since the 90's. His show is broadcast in more than 90 cities across the country.
"He was pretty much the anchor that held us down. The station revolved around him. He was number one in every demographic,” said KISS FM Program Director Danny G.
Kraddick died suddenly yesterday while attending a charity event in New Orleans, sources say a brain aneurism lead to his unexpected death. Fans say he will be remembered most for his charitable work.
"You could say he died doing what he loved. He would raise money from terminally ill children and send them to Disneyland,” said Danny G.
For fans right here in the basin, it's tough to hear the news.
"He was such a kind-hearted person and that's what people took interest in,” said Mariel Jimenez.
"I like him because he always had a wide variety of topics,” said Aleemah Nelson.
One thing is for sure, Kidd will be missed on-air.
Co-hosts of the popular show will be coming on tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. for a brief program to share their reactions to the news. The show’s “Best Of” segment will air for the rest of the week. No word yet on what the future holds for the program.
