Odessa, TX - The words “closed" pepper the walls and signs of the B & L adult bookstore in West Odessa.
Words that mean more to people like Alan Garcia who's home is right next to the former business.
"Its good because we have kids in this area,” he said.
But it’s been a long time coming for these residents back in January of last year the bookstore was raided after the owner, Jimmy Wayne Wright was arrested by the DEA for selling bath salts inside the bookstore and disguising the drug with names like pipe cleaner, stain remover, or plant food.
Eight months later he was found guilty and was forced to turn the store over to the government.
The judge signed the property over and by last Friday the locks were changed and the building was closed for good.
A sight these residents never thought they would ever see.
This store owner was sentenced to nearly two years in federal prison.
