Murder Charge Dropped In 2012 San Antonio Wreck 07/17/13

SAN ANTONIO - Prosecutors in South Texas have dropped a murder charge against a man whose best friend died in a 2012 wreck during their apparent joyride with a stolen Jeep.
The San Antonio Express-News (http://bit.ly/13iPENW ) reported Wednesday that prosecutors are not sure 20-year-old Sean Patrick Korman was driving. The rollover killed 18-year-old Zachary Wendell.
Prosecutor Julie Wright, in her motion Monday to drop the case, raised concerns that a third teen who was in the vehicle would not be a truthful witness.
Korman was originally charged with intoxication manslaughter. The charge was dropped when blood test results indicated Korman did not have enough marijuana in his system to prove impairment.
Prosecutors then filed a murder charge against Korman - saying the unintentional death occurred during felony unauthorized use of a vehicle.
