July 9, 2013
TOKYO - Japan Airlines says one of its Boeing 777s headed for San Francisco had to return to Tokyo after a warning flashed in the cockpit saying the jet's hydraulic level was low. The airline says the plane returned to Tokyo's Haneda airport about four hours after it had left.
Mechanics found a leak in the plane's hydraulic system.
The 236 passengers were put on another plane and arrived safely in San Francisco early today.
