Water Tanker Leaking City Water on Road Enrages Residents 7/9/13

Midland - A Midland resident is frustrated, even outraged, after finding a commercial water truck parked in his driveway Monday afternoon.
There was water spilled all over the road as the water truck pumped water from a hydrant into its tank.
The resident says the water tanker, which was parked in his personal driveway at Big Spring and Mockingbird, had water leaking from faulty hoses.
Not only that, the truck had expired inspection and registration stickers dating back to August 2011.
According to the resident, the vehicle belonged to United Rentals, but was being used by a separate company.
That company has a contract to buy water from the city and was using the water for construction purposes.
The resident says police ticketed the company for expired registration.
He notified code enforcement about the water violations, but he says they never showed up.
We will of course keep an eye on this story.
