A Few Thunderstorms This Afternoon 7/4/13 UPDATED
A few thunderstorms have brewed up across the Permian Basin this afternoon. Currently the storms, none of which are severe, are along and just west of a line from Andrews to Crane to Rankin. These storms are moving south/southeast at about 10-15 mph.
Again there is no severe weather at this time. These storms may have brief gusty winds and heavy rain and cloud to ground lightning. We expect these storms to begin dissipating as we get into the later afternoon. We do not expect any storms to interfere with holiday celebrations in Midland or Odessa.
