Severe thunderstorms have been rumbling across parts of West Texas and southeast New Mexico. Here is the latest from the National Weather Service:
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIDLAND HAS ISSUED A
* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
EXTREME NORTHWESTERN BREWSTER COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS...
EAST CENTRAL PRESIDIO COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS...
* UNTIL 815 PM CDT
* AT 730 PM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS REPORTED CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60
MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 7 MILES NORTHWEST OF PAISANO PASS...OR
9 MILES EAST OF MARFA...MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH.
* THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
PAISANO PASS...HIGHWAY 90 EAST OF MARFA TO PAISANO PASS.

UPDATE: The National Weather Service has extended this severe thunderstorm warning until 9:15pm CDT. This storm had indications on radar of hail of 2 inch diameter or greater, as well as heavy rain and gusty winds.
