Four Car Pile Up, 2 OPD Officers Injured 4/18/13
ODESSA - There has been a 4-car pile up reported at the intersection of Clements St. and Grant Ave. in Odessa, sending two Odessa Police officers to Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
OPD issued this release on the accident:
OPD officers are investigating a four car accident at the intersection of Clements and Grant Ave., (U.S. 385). The investigation revealed that a 2012 Ford F450, driven by Paul Richardson, 43yoa of Midland, was traveling north bound in the 1200 block of South Grant Ave, outside lane. There were three vehicles stopped in the outside lane at a red light. The driver of the F450 slammed into the back a 2008 Impala (police unit) which caused the Impala to collide with 2006 Chevrolet pick-up which collide with a 1998 Chevrolet Camaro.
The driver of the Impala, Robert Doporto and passenger Eddie Vallejo (both sergeants) were transported to Medical Center Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Chevy pick-up, Benjamin Raigoza, 75yoa and the driver of the Camaro, Caramon Moreland, 20 yoa were not transported.
