UPDATE: Driver Of Pickup That Slammed Into Odessa Business Charged With Fleeing Scene 4/14/13

ODESSA-Odessa Police say a 2008 Ford pickup truck was driving westbound on the Business 20 service road near JBS Parkway when he veered of the road and ran into the side of a storage building.
It happened in the 2900 block of the West Hwy. 80 service road.
Police say the truck then caught fire and an eyewitness pulled the man out of the truck, who then fled the scene. Police did find the driver and charged him with a Class B Misdemeanor for fleeing the scene.
Eyewitness accounts indicate the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel. The driver of the pickup was checked out by first responders on scene and walked away from the accident in good condition.
Police say no one else was injured. Damages are estimated at at least $4,000 to the business. Corporal Seago of OPD is the investigating officer on scene.
Police on scene say there's no indication that this accident is related to power outages nearby.
