'Black Gold' Driller Arrested for Alleged DWI 4/3/12
MIDLAND, Texas (AP) - A Midland oilfield worker on truTV's "Black Gold" has been arrested for his alleged involvement in multiple hit-and-run accidents while driving drunk.
The Midland Reporter-Telegram (http://bit.ly/Z6LQsS ) reports Wednesday that 31-year-old Brandon Leigh Watson was released from jail last week after posting bond of $1,500.
He was arrested March 27 on a Class A misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated, his second, and two Class B misdemeanor charges of failure to stop and give notice upon striking an unattended vehicle with more than $200 damage.
Watson is a driller on the series, which follows rigs in West Texas.
Midland police arrested him after he became argumentative and uncooperative at one of the three hit-and-run accidents in which he was allegedly involved.
Efforts to reach Watson for comment were unsuccessful.
