Odessa Woman Seeks Help After Bus Crashes into House 3/29/13
Karen David was asleep one moment in the house she had lived in for over 10 years and the next moment a chunk of her home was gone and she awoke to a plume of dust.
"I thought I was blind" she said.
Her next thought was to get out of the house.
"I was afraid it was going to catch fire" she said.
When she got out of the house she saw the devastating damage. The bus had shifted the house and her utility room was gone. Now the house is tarped up, debris lines her yard and inspectors have deemed it uninhabitable.
The impact was so sudden that she didn't realize that a nail had punctured her head.
"Today I'm really sore" She said.
Now she needs help repairing the house. She doesn't have insurance on the house and she's hoping friends, family and those in the community can all chip in to repair her home.
