WEST TEXAS - It's the perfect storm: heavy winds, dry conditions and construction happening all around west Texas blowing dust clouds onto our highways. This is causing hazards for drivers as visibility in a dust cloud can drop to zero feet. James Beauchamp with MOTRAN tells CBS 7 that there is no law on the books to regulate developers when it comes to the dust they create while leveling land. He says the problem is something that needs to be addressed because development and winds are not going to stop. Beauchamp says if drivers find themselves in a dust cloud, the best thing to do is continue at a normal speed, be extra cautious and pull off the road as soon as possible.
