Grand Jury Indicts Odessa Man in 2008 Murder Case 3/19/13

ODESSA - Ector County District Attorney Bobby Bland issued a statement regarding the indictment of Jesus Miguel Venegas on murder charges dating back to 2008. The release reads:
On March 18, 2013 the Grand Jury returned an indictment against Jesus Miguel Venegas for the 2008 murder of Rene Escobar Sanchez. He is currently being held in the Ector County Jail on a $500,000.00 bond.
After being pulled over and arrested for driving with an invalid license, Venegas eventually admitted to murdering Rene Escobar Sanchez, who had been reported missing in July of 2008.
