Hwy. 158 Overpass Repairs at Hwy. 385 To Close 385 Southbound For One Week 3/19/13

ODESSA-TXDOT announced today that it will repair the Hwy. 158 overpass which has been closed since an accident last May.
The repairs begin Monday, March 25 and will close the southbound lanes of US 385 that pass underneath the bridge.
Vehicles will have to exit 385, cross 158 to go around the overpass to get back onto Hwy 385 southbound.
A stop sign is being placed on Hwy 158 eastbound to allow cars to pass more safely on the detour.
The closure will last for about a week, when the detours are expected to be reduced.
Gene Powell of TXDOT warns that the detour will be a tight turn, especially for 18-wheelers.
"It's almost a U-turn," Powell said. "Please drive very slowly."
