Warm Today But A Cold Front Arrives Tonight! 3/19/13

Expect a warmer day across the Permian Basin… At least for most of the day! Highs will climb to around 80 for most of the region. Winds will be out of the southwest at 10-20mph.
A cold front will move into the area this afternoon and evening. This will bring an abrupt end to the warmth and the wind will shift to the north at 15-25mph. This will occur around 4-6pm. Low will drop into the 40’s overnight.
While rain chances aren’t high at all, a few isolated showers or even a weak thunderstorm are possible along the front later tonight and into the morning hours.
Look for a cooler day on Wednesday. Highs will only be in the 60’s under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
Warmer conditions will return on Thursday! Look for highs in the 80’s but only for a day.
Another cold front will drop into the area on Friday with a reinforcing shot of colder air over the weekend. This will keep highs in the 60’s and 70’s for the late part of the week and the weekend.
