Search Volunteers For Missing Teen Awaiting more Information on Body Remains 3/18/13

Kristy Turner is one of the few volunteers with Hope for Hailey who has not given up on their search. She stood in front of the teen’s prayer garden two and a half years later as she anxiously awaits for more information on body remains recently found at Lake JB Thomas.

“We are all starting to freak out because what if it is Hailey,” she said, ‘But what if it isn't not because it would be one of our nightmares coming true.”

Hope for Hailey is still strong for example, this wall was filled with stuffed animals volunteers tell me they put those animals in boxes so that hailey can one day come come and receive them.

“You hear stories where they come back, they’ve had a couple of kids they're very healthy and good to go,” she said. “We are just hoping that’ll be Hailey.”

At the same time, Turner says family members and Hope for Hailey volunteers have been through similar scares.

The remains were found on airport grounds in Big Spring just one year ago a mile from the home of the mother of the person of interest in the case, the boyfriend of Haily Dunn's mother. Suspicions of it being Hailey quickly grew, but Tarrant County autopsy results show that the body belonged to an elderly man.

Turner says she overcomes her speculations and anxiety with prayer in hopes Hailey returns.
