ODESSA, TX - Gun control has been a hot button topic the past few months. It has sent people scrambling to buy guns now.
However, it was a much different story at the Ector County Coliseum today. It looks as if the buying frenzy has slowed down.
The only thing missing from today’s show was not ammunition, but clientele.
One local who knows the West Texas gun market really well tell us that some of the factors keeping people away are the current income tax season where some people having to pay Uncle Sam and Spring Break exhausting people’s wallets after their getaway.
But despite all this, there is hope for another spike on gun sales in West Texas.
"We could see another spike depending on what they do. The Assault Weapons Ban passed the senate Judiciary Committee heading to the floor. We don't know what to expect from this point," says Gun Merchant, Kim Sanson.
But despite all this, there is hope for another spike on gun sales. The gun show will continue to run until Sunday afternoon.
