Owners Claim Pit Bull Did Not Bite Boy 3/16/13

ODESSA, TX- The owners of a pit bull accused of attacking a 12-year-old boy say their dog is innocent.
According to Odessa Police Department the boy claims the attack happened yesterday afternoon in the 3800 block of North Everglade.
The child had a visible wound to his hip, but it could not be determined if it was a bite.
According to the pet's owners their dog did not attack the boy.
“He skinned himself and she licked him. She’s just a big baby and a lot of pit bulls are,” said Ashley Bartlett, co-owner of the dog.
Bartlett says that they boy was running down the street and the dog came out of the house to chase him.
She says the dog is not aggressive and did not attempt to harm the child.
The dog is still in quarantine by animal control. The owner of the dog was cited for allowing the dog to roam loose.
