MIDLAND-The Texas Ramp Project brought 1,000 ramps to the homes of wheelchair bound across the state last year.
Now they are working with the Midland Downtown Lions Club to bring more ramps to our area.
Today the club worked alongside a Ramp Project director to learn how to build them.
They spent the morning at the home of a Midland woman who has been in a wheelchair and without a ramp to her home for at least a year.
"There is a need in the Midland/Odessa area," said John Laine of the Texas Ramp Project. "We already had a backlog of 50 ramps when we first started the project."
