Former Jail Employee Enters Gulity Plea 3/14/13

(Midland)- The first of 13 former employees of the Ector County Correctional Center has pleaded guilty to federal charges for bribery and smuggling contraband.
The U.S. Attorneys Office tells CBS 7 that Charlette Smith entered her plea Thursday in Midland's Federal Court.
She will be sentenced at a later date and faces a maximum of 15 years in prison.
12 others who face the same charges have scheduled plea hearings over the next couple of weeks.
