12 Charged in `Whites Only' Texas Meth Ring 3/12/13

Associated Press
3/12/13

BEAUMONT, Texas - A dozen Southeast Texas residents have been indicted
in what federal prosecutors say was a "whites only" enterprise that engaged in
methamphetamine distribution and murder.

Federal authorities announced Monday that seven of the people charged in the
case were already in custody and five others were arrested last Friday.

An indictment alleges that six of the defendants managed an organization
known as SWS, which stands for "Solid Wood Soldiers" and "Separate White State."

The group is alleged to have operated in and out of jails and prisons,
primarily in Texas, and has a written constitution and bylaws that outline the
duties of its members.

The indictment charges four of the defendants with murder in aid of
racketeering in connection with the 2011 death of a Liberty County man.
