UNDATED - The second-ranked Indiana Hoosiers could have made Senior Night very special by clinching the Big Ten title. Instead, DeShaun Thomas and Aaron Craft scored nine points during a pivotal 11-2 run that carried 14th-ranked Ohio State to a 67-58 win over the Hoosiers. Thomas finished with 18 points and Craft added 15 as the Buckeyes won their fourth in a row.
The Hoosiers were trying to claim their first outright conference crown since 1993. They will have another chance Sunday at No. 7 Michigan.
In other top-25 action:
Seth Curry scored 20 points and fellow senior Ryan Kelly added 18 as third-ranked Duke beat Virginia Tech 85-57. The Blue Devils outscored the Hokies 32-10 during the final 12-plus minutes to finish unbeaten at home for the 17th time in school history. The Blue Devils shot 52 percent for the game but led just 53-47 before their game-ending run.
Ninth-ranked Kansas State beat TCU 79-68 to move back into a tie with Kansas for first place in the Big 12 with one game remaining. Angel Rodriguez had 21 points and 10 assists, while Shane Southwell and Martavious Irving each finished with 15 points.
Vander Blue had 22 points and hit a pair of game-clinching free throws with 13.9 seconds left as No. 15 Marquette escaped with a 60-54 win at Rutgers. Jamil Wilson scored all 10 of his points in the second half, including the late 3-pointer that put the Golden Eagles ahead to stay.
Jerian Grant had 21 points and eight assists as No. 24 Notre Dame silenced St. John's 66-40. The Irish held the Red Storm to 18 percent shooting while outscoring them 44-14 in the second half.
Memphis is 15-0 in Conference USA after Chris Crawford scored 15 points and Adonis Thomas added 11 to lead the 25th-ranked Tigers past UTEP (YOO'-tehp) 56-54. Memphis led by as many as seven points with 12:31 left before UTEP tied the game three minutes later.
