US Stocks Open Higher Following Dow's Record Day 3/6/13

NEW YORK - An encouraging report on the job market is helping stocks hold onto the gains that brought the Dow Jones Industrial Average to a record high yesterday.
The Dow has moved even higher in morning trading. It jumped to an all-time high of 14,253.77 on Tuesday, topping its previous record set in October 2007. The 126 point gain means the Dow has climbed nearly 9 percent this year.
Payment processor ADP reports that companies added 198,000 workers to their payrolls last month. The report suggests that the government's February jobs report, to be issued Friday, may come in above economists' forecasts. Analysts expect it will show a gain of 152,000 jobs.
