CYPRESS, Texas - Investigators searching for the parents of a newborn
girl abandoned near a Houston-area apartment complex have released a forensic
artist's renderings of what her parents might look like.
The baby, named Chloe by caregivers, was just more than an hour old when she
was discovered Feb. 19 wrapped in a plastic bag at the Cypress complex.
The baby born with one bottom tooth still had her umbilical cord attached
when she was found. She is currently in foster care.
Deputy Thomas Gilliland of the Harris County Sheriff's Office says
authorities are trying to track down leads to discover her identity. The
sketches were released last week.
He says whether anyone will be charged in the case will be up to the
district attorney once the circumstances are determined.
