Fire Crews Battling Several Tank Battery Fires 3/4/13

PIO, Captain Noel Ybarra with Reeves County says firefighters are still on the scene with Barstow Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Ft. Stockton Fire Dept.
Deputies with The Reeves Co. Sheriff's Office are assisting with entrance security.
Two trucking companies are helping with water supply.
Six tank batteries caught fire around 6:30 pm Monday afternoon. It is six miles south of Pecos in Reeves County just off of hwy 17.
Ybarra says they'll be there throughout the night.

Fire crews are currently battling at least 6 tank battery fires.
According to PIO Captain Noel Ybarra, at least 20 fire firefighters from three West Texas firefighters are on scene. The Texas Forest Service is also assisting as well as 2 oilfield companies who are supplying water for firefighters.
The fires are located along Ranch Road 869, about 4 miles outside Pecos.
